Nicola Henriksson

Associate Director

Nicola is a public historian and interpretation specialist who joined SHP in 2008. She leads the history team and is highly skilled in research, writing, consultation and interpretive planning.

Before joining SHP, Nicola worked at the Australian Racing Museum in curatorial, education and tour-guiding positions, spent four years working at Museum Victoria in public access and research roles and worked as an Assistant Curator on the community-based Water Smart Home project. Her background in the tourism industry has given her an excellent understanding of public needs, expectations and commercial considerations. As SHP’s Associate Director, Nicola brings a good blend of warmth, strategic thinking and an eye for detail to all projects.

On any Saturday

You’ll probably find Nicola running errands, but if she gets free time she loves bushwalking with her family or relaxing with her cat and a good mystery.
