SHP in Europe

Sue is currently in Europe developing partnerships with fellow interpreters, assessing interpretation and introducing SHP to the European market. Follow her adventures and thoughts on interpretation on her blog or email Sue (sue@shp.net.au) if you would like to stay in touch.

Sue’s first stop was Freiburg, Germany, where she successfully presented a workshop on interpretive planning at the Interpret Europe conference. She then moved on to the Scotland, France, England and Wales.

Throughout her visit to the UK she has been generously hosted by interpreters from the Association of Heritage Interpreters (AHI) and learnt a great deal about latest trends/best practice in European interpretation.

In September, Sue moves on to Slovenia, where she will give a series of presentations on interpretation at the invitation of the National Agency for Entrepreneurship, together with a lecture to museum and heritage specialists from the University at Ljubljana. Sue will be back in Australia in mid-October armed with hundreds of photos of interpretative installations – but a promise of no slide shows!
