Wiki Sites have many uses. They are particularly handy for increasing the reach of tourism activities and enabling visitors and local residents to make ongoing contributions to the stories of a place. They can also be used to show the distribution of collection material by small museums, key features of national parks and on anything that is distributed over a geographical area.

Wikis have the advantage of being ‘living’ sites. They enable users to comment, add information and contribute their own stories and images.

SHP uses the Google Maps interface to create an interactive, easily accessible content navigation system that gives viewers new ways of seeing content.
