East Gippsland Rail Trail Signage Plan & Guidelines

In 2017, we were engaged to breathe new life into the East Gippsland Rail Trail, a 100 km cycling journey from Bairnsdale to Orbost. Our work included a signage audit, which involved walking, cycling and driving the length of the trail to assess the condition and design of wayfinding and interpretive signs, and developing a style guide for a new suite of signage that would enhance the visitor experience, improve user safety, preserve the heritage of the rail trail, increase local engagement with the trail and improve the economy of towns along the trail. We also provided detailed costs for signage maintenance and installation.
