Tip Top Bakery ‘Rye’ Development
Our award-winning interpretive project transformed the former Weston’s Tip Top bakery into a heritage-inspired residential development.
In 2013, Little Projects engaged SHP to design and produce a high-impact interpretive installation for the former Weston’s Tip Top bakery site in Brunswick East, Victoria. We produced signage and exterior and interior ‘Pic Perf’ supergraphics that created a powerful impression of the site’s history through the use of single backlit images.

The Tip Top bakery development project won the Australian Property Institute’s prestigious 2014 Heritage Property Award and the 2015 National UDIA Award for Excellence in Urban Renewal. The ‘inclusion throughout the site of images of the former bakery enlarged onto aluminum screens to celebrate the site’s former glory’ was one of three main reasons the site won the award.
